SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network is seeking a Direct Care Worker (Residential) for Miroma Hostel in Cummins to provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, support wellbeing and independence, and help create a safe, welcoming home in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

This casual pool covers a seven-day roster, with shifts across WHD3 and WHD4 levels; AQF Certificate III is required for WHD4.

• Salary: WHD3 $34.41 - $35.32 per hour + 25% casual loading; WHD4 $36.22 - $36.95 per hour + 25% casual loading
• Casual contract over a 7-day roster

Join the team at Miroma Hostel in Cummins as a Direct Care Worker (Residential), where you’ll play an important role in providing compassionate, person-centred care to residents in a welcoming residential care environment.

You’ll assist residents with their daily living needs, support their wellbeing and independence, and help create a safe, comfortable and respectful home. Working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to quality care that recognises each resident’s individual needs, preferences and abilities.

This casual pool offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to your local community while bringing your caring nature, teamwork and practical skills to a rewarding role. Flexibility is essential, as you’ll participate in a seven-day roster covering a variety of shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and transfers, while promoting dignity, comfort and independence.
• Support residents’ wellbeing through meaningful activities, social interaction and individualised care, including assisting with identified special needs and diversional therapy programs.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ wellbeing, maintain accurate care documentation and assist with routine care procedures in accordance with established policies and directions.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment while working collaboratively with colleagues, following safe work practices and undertaking training to maintain your skills and knowledge.

• For appointment at WHD4 level, you must hold completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
