At the City of Bayswater, we believe that great communities are built by people who care. That’s why we’re guided by strong values, shared purpose, and a real passion for creating meaningful change. We prioritise sustainability, community wellbeing, and welcoming places where everyone can thrive. As an employer, we’re committed to a culture that values inclusion, balance, and personal growth. Whether you're starting your journey or building on experience, we offer the chance to develop your skills, contribute meaningfully to the community, and help shape the future of a vibrant and evolving community.

About the Position

The Digital Solutions and Services team is seeking a collaborative, forward‑thinking ICT professional to step into our newly created Digital Systems Advisor role. This position is ideal for someone with strong business systems skills who enjoys leading others, improving systems, and delivering meaningful digital solutions.

As a Digital Systems Advisor, you will provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to your team, fostering a positive and high‑performing work environment. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, using a business partnering approach to understand their needs and develop ICT and business system solutions that improve processes, support risk management and align with strategic goals. A key part of your work will involve designing and delivering fit‑for‑purpose digital solutions, including configuring workflows and systems to support efficient business processes and measurable performance outcomes.

This is a fixed‑term full‑time position on a 3‑year contract.

About You

You are a confident, motivated and people‑focused digital professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring experience across ICT, business systems or digital solutions—ideally within local government or a similar complex organisation—and you’re skilled at translating business needs into practical, well‑designed technology solutions. You have a natural ability to lead, mentor and support others, building a positive team culture grounded in respect, inclusiveness and high performance.

You understand information management principles, system security, workflow design and best‑practice project delivery, and you take a proactive, improvement‑focused approach to your work. Adaptable, organised and values‑driven, you embody the City’s commitment to safety, integrity and service excellence, and you’re ready to make a meaningful impact through digital transformation.

What we offer

You will love working here because we believe we have great staff who are motivated and passionate about what they do. We get to make a difference in the community which brings great job satisfaction. On offer is a total remuneration package of up to $129,778 per annum, as well as access to City of Bayswater staff benefits including:
