The Role

ABC is looking for a Digital Journalist to deliver original, impactful international news with a special focus on the Asia‑Pacific region and its communities. From fast‑breaking updates to in‑depth explainers and feature stories, you’ll create compelling digital content that reaches audiences across platforms. You’ll also have the opportunity to script and work on vertical videos for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, bringing the news to life in fresh and creative ways.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in original digital news and breaking stories.
• Strong editorial judgement with experience in international reporting an advantage.
• Knowledge of audience growth and digital trends.
• Experience with multimedia systems; CoreMedia an advantage.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; diverse language abilities an advantage.
• Commitment to diverse, authentic storytelling and ability to build and maintain broad community and expert networks.
