Job summary

Serco is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its digital health team and deliver telehealth triage from a home-based setup. You will assess symptoms, provide guidance, and escalate urgent cases for Australians across diverse clinical presentations.

Intake includes 2 weeks of paid online training, ongoing clinical support, and pathways for career development in digital health. Night shifts are prioritized, with flexible options across Australia.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with unrestricted AHPRA registration (3+ years). Enrolled Nurses are not eligible.
• 3 years full-time (or equivalent) recent experience in acute, emergency departments, primary health, rural/remote settings.
• Strong clinical judgement, triage experience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Confident navigating digital systems, CRMs and telehealth platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical triage and guidance via telehealth to Healthdirect callers.
• Assist with medication queries, childhood illness and escalation for complex cases.
• Work from home on a 24/7 inbound service with flexible shifts.
• Utilise a private home workspace with reliable Wi-Fi to support high-quality care.

Training & Support

You’ll receive 2 weeks of paid online training to prepare you for the role, followed by ongoing support from experienced leaders and clinical teams committed to your success. Full attendance is required. Intake dates are ongoing and will be confirmed with you during the recruitment process.

Can work24/7 rotating shifts, incl. days, evenings, nights and weekends
