Job summary

Queensland Law Society in Brisbane seeks a Digital Content Producer to join our Digital & Content team. You will create and publish compelling content across web, newsletters and social channels, shaping how members and the wider community engage with Good Law - Good Lawyers - Public Good.

We value strong writing, editing and interviewing abilities, with hands-on experience in WordPress and digital publishing, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, editorial environment.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Journalism, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing and interviewing skills.
• Experience producing content across digital channels and CMS such as WordPress.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.

Queensland Law Society (QLS) is the professional body for legal practitioners, representing more than 14,000 members state-wide. We lead the Solicitors of Queensland with our purpose of Good Law - Good Lawyers - Public Good.

QLS has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Digital Content Producer to join our Digital & Content team. The Digital & Content team is responsible for strategic communications, digital publishing, and delivering news, insights and thought leadership that support QLS priorities and strengthen engagement across members, the legal profession and the wider community. Using a digital-first approach complemented by flagship print publications, the team combines editorial excellence, content governance and strategic communications to keep QLS a trusted, relevant and influential voice for the legal profession.

The Digital Content Producer supports the Managing Editor, Digital & Content by producing and delivering high-quality, audience-focused content across QLS's digital publishing channels, including multimedia storytelling across web, newsletters and emerging digital platforms.

In this role you will:

• Produce accurate, timely and engaging digital content across QLS's channels, including news, features, profiles and multimedia content.
• Research, write, edit and publish content to a high editorial standard, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and develop compelling stories relevant to the legal profession, using a mix of written, visual, video, social and emerging digital formats to maximise audience reach.
• Build and maintain professional networks across the legal profession, monitoring legal, policy and profession developments to identify emerging issues and content opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, applying contemporary digital publishing practices, audience insights and analytics to maximise engagement and reach.

Ideally you will have the following:

• Qualifications in Journalism, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Experience producing content in a media, publishing, digital, communications or newsroom environment.
• Exceptional writing, editing and interviewing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content to deadline.
• Experience creating content across digital channels, including websites, newsletters and social media, and using content management systems such as WordPress.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
