Job summary

Hospitality Group WA Pty Ltd T/A PB 55 Haulage is seeking a Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their Western Australian team on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will service and repair diesel engines and heavy vehicles, diagnose faults with diagnostic equipment, and ensure all work complies with safety and roadworthiness standards.

Based in Byford, WA, the successful candidate will hold a Certificate IV in a relevant field, have at least 1 year of related experience, and be capable of working

Qualifications

• Certificate IV qualification in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar Diesel Motor Mechanic role.
• Motivated and enthusiastic with a strong drive to excel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Testing and adjusting repaired systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records for fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Inspecting vehicles to identify potential mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety and roadworthiness standards.
• Ensuring workshop tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment are used and maintained appropriately.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures while performing mechanical tasks.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and malfunctions in diesel engines, heavy vehicles, and related systems using diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and steering components.
• Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective engine parts and components.
• Conducting routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of engine components.
