Job summary

Centurion in Rockhampton is hiring multiple Diesel Mechanics for our depot on a 7/7 roster. This hands-on role includes diagnostics, fault finding, servicing and repairs across trucks, trailers and fleet vehicles.

You'll work on brakes, suspension, steering and engines, plus welding and basic auto electrical work (12V/24V). We offer weekly pay, strong job security and a safety‑first culture with training and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with experience on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical systems (12V/24V).
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Unlimited Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
• Service and maintain brakes, suspension, steering, and engines.
• Carry out welding and basic auto electrical work (12V/24V).
• Order, replace, and maintain parts ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Minimise fleet downtime by ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and fully operational.
