Job summary

Thiess in Peak Downs Mine, Queensland is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to maintain, repair and service a diverse fleet of mobile mining equipment. This permanent full-time role offers a 7/7 even-time roster with day and night shifts and camp facilities.

You will diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance, and ensure safety, quality and documentation are upheld in every task, contributing to reliable production outcomes.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or recognised equivalent.
• Post-trade experience within the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
• Experience in maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and service a variety of mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently in line with Thiess and industry standards.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot equipment issues and complete preventative maintenance activities to maximise fleet reliability.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Diesel Fitter with a passion for maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Diesel Fitters to join our high-performing team at Peak Downs Mine, Queensland.

As a key member of the Peak Downs Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for safely maintaining, repairing and servicing a diverse fleet of mobile mining equipment to support reliable and efficient production outcomes.

Roster: 7/7 Even Time | Location: Peak Downs Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

As the Diesel Fitter, you will:
