Job summary

ChoiceOne is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters and Mechanics for a mining operation in Boddington on a DIDO basis. The role focuses on servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile plant and mining equipment, with emphasis on safe, high-standard practices.

Ideal candidates hold a trade qualification as Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic, have strong fault-finding skills, and possess an Australian driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience servicing heavy mobile plant and mining equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work safely and independently in a mining environment; Australian driver's licence is required.

Responsibilities

Diesel Fitter / Mechanic - Boddington | DIDO | $70-$75/hr

We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters and Mechanics for a mining operation in Boddington.

This is a DIDO opportunity suited to tradespeople with solid experience working on heavy mobile plant and mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete breakdowns and scheduled maintenance.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential equipment issues.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

About You:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
• Previous experience working on heavy mobile plant or mining equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work safely and independently in a mining environment.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Previous mining experience highly regarded.
