Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Melbourne is seeking an experienced nephrology nurse to lead the design, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within our haemodialysis clinic. You will coordinate care for a caseload of dialysis patients and collaborate with the wider health team to implement individualized care plans.

The role requires a minimum of three years’ nursing experience, current AHPRA registration and a nephrology credential.

Qualifications

• Registered with AHPRA to practise as a general nurse in Australia.
• Current practising certificate required.
• Minimum three years of current nursing experience in relevant setting.
• Holding or working towards nephrology nursing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Utilises advanced nephrology nursing skills in planning, delivering and evaluating patient care.
• Protects patient rights and maintains high standard of care.
• Co-ordinates care for dialysis patients with the health team to implement plans.
• Participates in education and professional development activities.
• Maintains accurate patient records and supports privacy and confidentiality.
• Contributes to quality improvement, infection control and safety initiatives.
• Delivers staff education, acts as preceptor and role model.
• Supports visitors and liaises with nephrologists and allied health team.
