Job summary

Whizdom is seeking a Splunk & DevOps Engineer to join our contract team for CI/CD automation and cloud infrastructure enhancements. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines across enterprise platforms, with a strong emphasis on reliability and scalability.

You will work with Jenkins, Ansible, AWS, Terraform, and Splunk, collaborating with security, application, and infrastructure teams to deliver stable deployments and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and optimising Jenkins pipelines.
• Intermediate-level experience with Ansible playbooks and configuration management.
• Strong GitHub knowledge including branching strategies and repository management.
• Solid Linux administration skills.
• Advanced Bash and shell scripting capabilities.
• Experience supporting AWS cloud services including EC2, ELB, S3, Route 53, and IAM.
• Python scripting experience for automation and operational support.
• Knowledge of Groovy scripting, particularly within Jenkins environments.
• Terraform experience for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, deployment methodologies, and query execution.
• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence.

About the Role
