Job summary

Leaders IT in Melbourne is seeking a skilled DevOps professional to lead and evolve our DevOps practices across the organization. The role involves mentoring Ops and Engineering teams, delivering automation across products and services, and producing clear documentation for infrastructure and processes.

You will assess vendor and open-source technologies, propose contingency options, and advise on technology investments based on emerging trends.

Qualifications

Proficiency with Linux environments and hands-on OpenShift administration.
Strong automation skills using Python or shell scripting.
Experience with multiple DevOps tools (Bamboo, Jira, GitLab/Bitbucket, SonarQube).
Knowledge of document-oriented databases such as Elasticsearch or Couchbase.
Understanding of security protocols (TLS/HTTPS/LDAPS) is preferred.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Familiarity with Big Data technologies is a plus.
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Drive DevOps best practices and capability growth across SNE.
Mentor and guide Ops and Engineering teams.
Develop, implement and maintain software automation to improve products and services.
Prepare clear process documentation for networks, infrastructure, products and services.
Analyze vendor/open source technologies and provide contingency options.
Make technology investment recommendations based on emerging tech knowledge.
Review and contribute to product infrastructure roadmaps.
