Transport for NSW in Sydney is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a temporary fixed-term full-time role until 31 December 2027. You will work at the center of delivery and operations, building, deploying and running data and platform solutions that support customer and operational services.

You will manage and monitor cloud-based platforms, data pipelines and integrations, and help improve CI/CD pipelines and incident resolution.

Qualificações

• DevOps or platform experience in a technical environment where delivery matters.
• Experience with cloud and data technologies such as Azure services, Databricks, SQL, Python.
• Strong focus on reliability and production readiness in distributed systems.

In this role, you'll:

Work at the centre of delivery and operations, helping teams build, deploy and run data and platform solutions that support customer and operational services.

Your day‑to‑day work will involve supporting cloud‑based platforms, monitoring data pipelines and integrations, and ensuring environments run smoothly.

You’ll help manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, automate processes and support incident resolution when things don’t go to plan.

Working closely with data, application and operational teams, you’ll help translate requirements into practical, supportable solutions.

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying risks, improving reliability and supporting better use of tools and platforms across the team.

Please note this is a Temporary Fixed Term Full Time Opportunity until 31/12/2027.

You bring solid DevOps or platform experience from a technical environment where delivery really matters. You’ve worked with cloud and data technologies such as Azure services, Databricks, SQL, Python or similar tools, and you understand how systems need to run reliably in production.

You’re comfortable working across multiple internal teams and know when to elevate issues early to get the right support, especially in critical situations. Strong delivery experience is key for you—you can manage high workloads, competing priorities and tight timelines while staying focused on outcomes.

You’re a clear communicator who can explain technical issues and progress in a practical way, and you enjoy working in fast‑paced environments where teamwork and accountability really count.
