Job summary

Our Client is a growing Australian technology company building operational software for the mining, engineering and heavy industry sectors. They're looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, security and reliability. Location: Melbourne preferred, or remote anywhere in Australia.

Working: 3 days/week at 696 Bourke St, Melbourne, or fully remote. You'll manage AWS infrastructure, implement Terraform IaC, develop CI/CD pipelines and drive cost

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• A proactive approach to cloud cost optimisation and security.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills — Python, Bash or similar.
• Experience with Docker and ECS.
• Ownership mindset and proactive problem solving.
• Collaborative, small-team mentality and ownership of infra.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to optimise AWS costs.
• Strengthen cloud security and support ISO 27001 initiatives.
• Manage containerised workloads using Docker and ECS.

• Work closely with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

The team

You'll be joining a technology team of:

• 1 Product Manager
• 1 Product Delivery Lead

The role reports to the Engineering Manager, with a secondary reporting line to the Product Delivery Lead.
