The Development Landscape Architect at Sutherland Shire Council delivers expert technical advice on landscape architecture for development proposals and conducts inspections to ensure compliance, while engaging with the community to enhance the urban environment.

Within the Planning directorate, you will assist implementing programs and policies aligned with the Council’s strategic objectives, including sustainable landscape development and street tree planting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture, horticulture, arboriculture, or a related field.
• Class C Drivers Licence and General Construction Induction Card NSW.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing landscape plans for large or sensitive sites.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert technical advice on landscape matters for development proposals.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with development approvals and deliver quality outcomes.
• Contribute to the Council’s street tree planting program and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Engage in project teams to support the development of planning policies and procedures.
