Bunnings Frame and Truss is seeking a Detailer to join our Brisbane-based team at Wacol. You will detail timber frames, trusses and floor systems for residential builds, translating plans into accurate designs and material lists, and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams.
You’ll use Pryda and AutoCAD, read architectural drawings, and manage your workload to meet project deadlines while supporting a wider on-site team across multiple-home projects.
Join us and experience Bunnings from the other side of the counter! What’s in it for you when you’re part of our team:
Know Frame and Truss and ready for your next move? Bunnings Frame and Truss is growing, and we’re looking for a Frame and Truss Detailer to join our team in Wacol, Brisbane. You’ll work across residential projects, detailing timber Frames, Trusses and Floor Systems, including repeat housing designs and larger multiple-home projects. You’ll be backed by an experienced local team and a well-established Frame and Truss network across Australia. A million ways to make an impact starts with the opportunity to use your experience, solve practical design challenges and help deliver quality outcomes for our customers. This is an on-site role based at Wacol, working alongside our design and operations teams. Being together on site makes it easier to collaborate, work through design queries and stay connected with the team turning your detailing work into finished product.
You understand that good detailing is about more than producing a drawing. Accuracy and constructability matter, along with understanding how your work impacts customers, manufacturing and the people building on site. You may already be working as a Frame and Truss Detailer, or your experience might come from estimating, drafting, residential construction or a trade background. We’re also open to people with relevant construction qualifications who have the technical aptitude and motivation to develop their detailing career. You’ll enjoy being part of a collaborative, on-site team where people can work through problems together, share knowledge and get the job done.
If you’re ready to put your Frame and Truss knowledge to work and want to be part of a team where your contribution can make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. If you need any adjustments, just let us know — we’re here to help. If you’ve got the experience, skills, and drive to grow — but don’t quite nail every part of the job description — we still want to hear from you. For support, contact us at jobs@bunnings.com.au.
