Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Queensland construction team, delivering a commercial project in Maroochydore. This role focuses on design leadership and coordination to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and compliance with the Project Brief.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Construction Management/Architecture/Engineering, plus experience with large-scale D&C projects and collaboration with external consultants to achieve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Collaboration with external consultants to achieve project outcomes.
• Strong leadership of design teams and coordination.
• Knowledge of regulatory and building compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage consultants to deliver high quality design documentation on time and on budget, in line with the Project Brief.
• Lead the review of the project design for regulatory and building compliance.
• Review design for constructability with construction team and trade subcontractors to drive delivery efficiencies.
• Participate in methodology development for project delivery.
• Maintain design quality control management.
