Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects Australia Pty Ltd (CPP) has the largest in-house design and engineering team in Australia and seeks a Design Drafter - Primary in Brisbane. You will produce accurate primary design drawings and documentation, working with engineers, designers and project managers to deliver safe, compliant outputs on schedule.

You will gain exposure to CPP’s BIM capabilities and be supported to develop AutoCAD, MicroStation and Revit skills where applicable, contributing to

Qualifications

• Relevant electrical, substation or primary design drafting experience.
• Exposure to substations, renewable energy or comparable electrical infrastructure.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation capability.
• Ability to understand design intent and produce practical design outputs.
• Knowledge of primary design drafting principles and fundamental electrical concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• A positive, practical approach and willingness to continue learning.
• Experience with Revit, 3D modelling or BIM workflows is advantageous.
• AutoCAD experience may lead to MicroStation and 3D capability on the job.

CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 200 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition.

The Opportunity

Join an industry leader and work on innovative high-voltage infrastructure projects, including substations, grid connections, wind farms and battery energy storage systems.

As a Design Drafter - Primary, you will support the design and construction of our projects by preparing accurate, high-quality primary design drawings and documentation. Working alongside experienced engineers, designers and Project Managers, you will help resolve technical queries and deliver safe, compliant and constructible design outcomes in line with relevant standards and project deadlines.

You will also gain exposure to CPP’s growing 3D modelling and Building Information Modelling (BIM) capability as client and project requirements continue to evolve.

About You
