Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead engineering analyses, design reviews, and constructability assessments for large-scale projects. You will coordinate with project teams to manage scope, schedule, and cost, ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements.

You will review design documents, support procurement, and mentor junior staff while driving continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8–14 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years for senior roles.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering and lifecycle delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and constructability reviews of infrastructure components.
• Coordinate and report on scope, cost estimates, and programs for the project.
• Review key design documents, drawings, data, and cost summaries.
• Prepare equipment, work, and material specifications and bid evaluations.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will work in an integrated project team, collaborating with project team members to coordinate, analyse and report on work scope, requirements, cost estimates, programs and methodology for the project’s infrastructure. You will lead design, development, assessment, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of infrastructure components and processes. Your technical expertise will ensure the unique and complex requirements of a project’s infrastructure aspects are met.

Major Responsibilities:

• Plans and conducts work independently requiring judgment in theevaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineeringtechniques, procedures and criteria on a significant project insupport of a global business unit.
• Supports the development, modification, and evaluation of infrastructure scope utilizing relevant processes, procedures, standards and guides
• Reviews key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and cost summaries for the project
• Inputs to the appropriate use of various infrastructure elements to ensure appropriate material is used based on requirements
• Inputs to the development of conceptual designs for infrastructure works of the project havingspecialized or unique requirements
• Inputs to the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan inaccordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and supportsimplementation and assists with performance reporting
• Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performancedata
• Plans, coordinates, or supports preparation of equipment, work and material specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations
• Supports procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations
• Aidsproject and construction management inidentifying and complying with project infrastructure requirements and inaddressing issues as they arise during project execution
• Inputs to constructability reviews

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management, systems integration, and lifecycle delivery.
• Experience applying requirements management, interface management, configuration management, and verification and validation processes.
• Ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop practical solutions in a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical coordination skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in engineering and project delivery systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced professionals.
