Job summary

Minarah College in Sydney's South West seeks a Deputy Principal – Secondary to lead both instructional and operational aspects of the school. You will work with the Principal and Executive Leadership Team to drive teaching excellence, student achievement and wellbeing.

The role requires strategic vision, hands-on execution and a proven track record in secondary leadership, with responsibility for timetabling, curriculum planning and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Appropriate teaching and tertiary qualifications with current NESA accreditation.
• Significant educational leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum, assessment, NESA regulations and HSC requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in school operations, including Sentral timetabling.
• Ability to design and deliver alternative pathways for students.
• Strong organisational, communication and people-leadership skills.
• Commitment to academic improvement, collaboration and accountability.
• Commitment to Islamic ethos, values and Minarah College vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic implementation of the College's Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan across the Secondary School.
• Own the Secondary timetable and staffing, class organisation and daily operations.
• Drive improvement in NAPLAN and HSC outcomes with targeted initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with NESA, HSC and regulatory requirements and timely reporting.
• Develop staff capability through mentoring and professional development.
• Maintain wellbeing, behaviour, attendance and engagement policies across the School.
