Job summary

Apex Transport And Distribution – Rocklea QLD is seeking a Depot/Operations Supervisor to lead daily warehouse and freight handling operations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on safe, efficient, on-time dispatch and developing a high-performing team.

You will supervise AM fleet control across 10+ vehicles, schedule routing and dispatch while ensuring CoR and OHS compliance and cost-conscious fleet management. Interviews start soon.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day depot and freight handling operations.
• Coordinate scheduling, routing, dispatch and freight movement.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with OHS and CoR requirements.
• Lead, roster, train, and develop drivers and depot staff.
• Maintain fleet task allocation to meet DIFOT targets while controlling costs.
• Supervise loading/unloading of trucks in the warehouse/depot.
• Complete pre-employment medical checks as required.

We are seeking a Depot/Operations Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on Leadership Role, responsible for supervising the day-to-day warehouse and freight handling operations, ensuring safe, efficient and on-time dispatch of freight while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

AM Fleet Control, 10+ vehicles

Supervise daily depot and transport fleet operations including scheduling, routing, dispatch, and freight movement

Ensure safe operations and compliance with transport regulations, OHS requirements, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)

Lead, roster, train, coach, and develop drivers, and depot staff

Maintain Bulk and PUD fleet task allocation to meet or exceed DIFOT targets while managing costs

Supervise Loading and unloading trucks in the warehouse/depot

You must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
