Job summary

CouriersPlease is seeking a reliable Freight Handler to support depot operations and ensure safe, efficient movement of freight. The role focuses on accurate sortation and attention to safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include manual handling up to 25kg (team lifts for heavier items), reading labels, scanning freight, and keeping the work area clean and safe. Training is provided, with potential forklift duties in the future.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/logistics environment preferred but not required.
• Capable of repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sort and move freight into designated bays and cages.
• Perform repetitive manual handling of items up to 25kg (team lifts encouraged for items over 20kg).
• Read labels and correctly sort freight into appropriate areas.
• Scan freight and support movements through the sortation machine.
• Palletise and shrink-wrap freight as required; maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Follow all safety processes and procedures at all times.
• We are currently recruiting for manual sortation positions but may require forklift operators in the future.
