Job summary

Bupa Dental Kellyville Grove is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the delivery of safe clinical care in a busy two-chair practice in Kellyville Grove, NSW. The role focuses on chairside assistance, instrument sterilisation, and maintaining infection control standards in a friendly, patient-first environment.

Ideal candidates have 2 years’ Australian experience and hold a Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting; hours include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday shifts

Qualifications

• Ideally 2 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant in Australia.
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded.
• Provide chair-side assistance including suction, passing instruments, mixing techniques, assist in x-ray procedures and instrumentation knowledge.
• Clean and prepare the treatment room, instruments and equipment per infection control standards.
• Follow service quality standards and WHS policies to ensure high quality, safe services.
• Responsible for work performed with a medium level of accountability or discretion.
• Assist with appointment scheduling including booking, cancellation, rebooking and confirmations.

• Permanent Part Time - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:45am-5:15pm (1 hour break) and Saturday 8:45-2:15

The purpose of the Dental Assistant role is to support the delivery of safe clinical care and procedures and contribute to achieving patient care goals in dental health. This role ensures that all equipment and supplies adhere to infection control standards, including the sterilisation and processing of dental equipment and the treatment rooms are maintained in a safe and organised manner.

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Ideally 2 years’ experience working as a Dental Assistant in Australia
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded
• Provide chair-side assistance for dental professionals providing dental treatment including usage of suction, passing instruments and materials, mixing techniques, assist in x-rays procedures and knowledge of instrumentation.
• Clean and prepare the treatment room, dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and BDC procedures;
• Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplace.
• Is responsible for work performed with a medium level of accountability or discretion
• Assist with the management of appointment schedules including booking, cancellation, rebooking and confirming appointments as required.
