Job summary

Yarralumla Dental Care in Canberra is seeking a friendly and confident Dental Assistant to support the dentist across general procedures. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilise instruments, and maintain infection control standards, while also assisting with reception duties and patient bookings.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and a positive attitude; dental assisting experience is preferred, but the right attitude is most important. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Organised with ability to multitask in a busy reception/dental setting.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
• Dental assisting experience is preferred but not required if attitude is right.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with a wide range of general dental procedures.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms.
• Sterilise instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Help with reception duties, including greeting patients, answering phones, booking appointments, and processing payments (training provided).
