Job summary

My Family Dental Qld in Townsville seeks a Dental Assistant (Cert III or above) or someone willing to train. The role blends clinical chairside support with reception and administrative duties, offering immediate start and permanent positions within our growing Townsville team.

You will greet patients, assist the dentist, manage appointments, handle queries and payments, and support records and digital systems. Training on new equipment will be provided to develop your skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Cert III or above in Dental Assisting or willingness to train
• Strong communication and patient care
• Flexible, team-oriented and positive attitude
• Ability to learn new dental equipment and software
• Immediate start available to join a growing team

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as the first point of contact
• Provide chairside assistance to dental practitioner
• Support reception duties and admin tasks
• Arrange appointments and handle telephone queries
• Receive payments and maintain patient records
• Assist with computer-based records and office tasks
• Learn to operate dental equipment (e.g., autoclaves, sterilisation)
