Ballina Coast Dental is seeking a friendly, reliable Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in Ballina, NSW. You will work closely with our dentists and clinical team to support daily operations and patient care in a busy practice.

Responsibilities include chairside assisting, preparing surgeries, maintaining infection control, processing X‑rays, and recording patient information. A great team culture and opportunities to grow your dental assisting skills are offered.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive and approachable attitude required.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Prepare surgeries, instruments and materials for treatment.
• Maintain infection control and sterilisation standards.
• Process X-rays as part of clinical workflow.
• Prepare and clean surgeries between patients.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients during appointments.
• Assist with post-treatment instructions as required.
• Accurately record patient information and treatment notes.
• Work closely with the team to keep the day running smoothly.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work closely with our dentists and the wider clinical team to help ensure our days run smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry


• Preparing surgeries, instruments and materials for treatment


• Maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation


• Processing X-rays


• Preparing and cleaning surgeries between patients


• Providing patients with reassurance and support throughout their appointments


• Assisting with post-treatment instructions where required


• Accurately recording patient information and treatment notes


• Working closely with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient day
