Job summary

Alzheimer’s Queensland on the Gold Coast is seeking a Dementia Respite Assistant & Community Support Assistant to join our casual team. You’ll support people living with dementia and older Australians in our Arundel respite centre and in the community, helping them stay connected and independent.

With experience in aged care, you’ll provide personal care, meals, and social activities, build trusted relationships with clients and families, and contribute to a warm, compassionate environment that

Qualifications

• Experience supporting older people and those living with dementia in community, respite, or residential settings.
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or similar.
• Strong communication skills and a kind, patient approach.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Driver’s Licence; valid at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide centre-based respite care in a welcoming, engaging environment.
• Support frail aged clients and people living with dementia.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families.
