Job summary

PLS is seeking a Delivery Lead to drive major upgrades and maintenance work for mineral processing plant infrastructure from its West Perth office. You will coordinate construction contractors, engineering consultants and internal teams to deliver projects on scope, time and budget while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a tertiary engineering qualification, a WA C class licence and proven experience in mining or mineral processing environments.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualified in engineering and WA C class driver’s licence.
• Experience delivering projects in mineral processing, mining or allied industries.
• Experience sustaining capital, maintenance or brownfield projects in owner’s or client-side roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe delivery of infrastructure projects across planning, evaluation, design, execution and handover.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and resources to meet KPIs.
• Oversee engineers, contractors, vendors to ensure works meet specs and standards.
• Drive value engineering and procurement planning for safe, cost-effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with project teams and readiness stakeholders to plan handover.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks and report to stakeholders.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Area Manager - Infrastructure, this role will be responsible for delivering project outcomes (scope, time, cost, quality, risk and resources) related to the planning, evaluation, design, execution and handover of the project, predominantly planned major upgrades and maintenance Work for mineral processing plant infrastructure.

The Delivery Lead will be tasked with managing construction contractors and engineering consultants, whilst working with internal project departments to ensure the program of work is delivered to specification and against key performance metrics. The role will also bring strong leadership and focus, being a vital link in a 'one team' culture, adopting a collaborative and consultative approach to driving safety standards, performance outcomes and meeting delivery milestones.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our West Perth office, conveniently located near the City West train station.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the safe delivery of infrastructure projects across planning, evaluation, design, execution, commissioning and handover phases.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and resources to meet agreed performance metrics and delivery milestones.
• Oversee engineering consultants, construction contractors, vendors and equipment suppliers to ensure works are delivered to specification and required standards.
• Drive value engineering, procurement planning and technical tender reviews to support safe, cost-effective and reliable project outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal project teams, site construction teams and operational readiness stakeholders to develop construction, commissioning and handover plans.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks, manage scope changes and prepare clear reports and presentations for key stakeholders.

About you

• Tertiary qualified in engineering, with a WA C class driver's licence and experience delivering projects in mineral processing, mining or allied process industries.
• Demonstrated experience in sustaining capital, maintenance or brownfield project environments, ideally within an owner’s team or client-side delivery role.
• Strong knowledge of construction, fabrication, installation and commissioning of mineral processing equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Confident leading through engagement, collaboration and strategic influencing, with the ability to build trusted relationships across consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Commercially aware and comfortable managing scope, contracts, technical tender reviews, project schedules, budgets and risk.
• Self-driven, safety focused and willing to regularly travel to operational mineral processing facilities to support site execution activities.
