Private Advertiser in Bendigo, VIC is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our warehousing and distribution team. You will operate delivery vehicles, collect and deliver goods within scheduled routes, and maintain delivery records with signatures and confirmations.

The role requires a valid Australian MR license, experience in delivery driving, strong safety practices, and excellent time management. A forklift license is preferred and staff discounts are available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the role

A local timber & Hardware store is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our warehousing, storage and distribution team. This is a full‑time position based in Bendigo, VIC. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers across the region. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring that we maintain the high standards of service that our clients depend on whilst representing the company professionally at every stop.

Key responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Collect and deliver goods to customers within scheduled timeframes and designated routes
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, delivery confirmations and any issues encountered
• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical and safety issues, reporting any defects immediately
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured appropriately during transport
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing queries and providing excellent service
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organised delivery vehicle
• Report any accidents, damage or delays to management promptly

What we're looking for

• Valid Australian Medium Rigid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to navigate routes efficiently and manage multiple deliveries per day
• Professional communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and goods up to 40kg regularly
• Reliability and punctuality
• Current Fork lift license (preferred)
