CASUAL & FULL TIME POSITIONS – MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR ROLE

New Farm Deli & Cafe (the deli section) is the retail side of our operations specializing gourmet food such as charcuterie, fine cheese, condiments, pastries and antipasti – to name a few.

We are searching for Casual & Full Time Customer Service Assistants

Candidates must come with previous experience in customer service within a fast-paced environment.

Slicing machine and cheese and wine knowledge would be beneficial but not necessary

You will be working within a close knit, hard-working team delivering outstanding customer service.

Immediate start.

The ideal candidate / s will have flexibility to fill shifts during the week and weekend.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional Customer Service
• Basic merchandising knowledge for fridge / stock displays
• Open / closing of the store
• EFTPOS and cash handling skills essential
• Cleaning duties / knowledge of hygiene principles

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced deli or hospitality environment
• A genuine passion for food, wine and customer service
• Ability to work under pressure while supporting and uplifting the team
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge and suggestions
• Confidence in upselling and increasing sales through authentic customer engagement
• A natural ability to build rapport and lasting relationships with customers
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
• A desire to learn more about cheese, wine, and deli products
• Availability for a mix of weekday & weekend shifts
• Mature outlook and positive, outgoing personality
• RSA certification (preferred)
