Law Staff is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel in Brisbane to join the Insurance and Corporate Risk team. The role targets defendant personal injury claims with exposure to a broad range of insurance matters across industries.

You will work alongside Partners in a supportive, high-performing environment and have the opportunity to develop client relationships with major organisations while advancing your insurance career.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PAE in insurance or related litigation.
• Experience in defendant personal injury claims is essential.
• Plenty of opportunity to transition to defendant work from plaintiff background.

Responsibilities

• Focus on defendant personal injury claims, particularly abuse claims.
• Exposure to public liability, workers' compensation appeals, property damage.
• Handle policy interpretation and coverage disputes within general insurance litigation.
• Assist with other commercial and insurance-related litigation and contractual disputes.
