Job summary

SYPAQ Systems in Canberra seeks a Specialist Engineer to provide technical and project management support to Defence Projects. Based at Brindabella Business Park, you will apply your combat management systems experience to MRAD option development and IAMD integration.

You will deliver technical analyses, design reviews, and risk assessments, develop operational requirements for Capability Definition Documents, and coordinate across sensors, networks, and C2 interfaces to ensure coherent

Qualifications

• Experience with MRAD options and IAMD integration.
• Operational knowledge of Battle Management and Tactical Datalinks.
• Familiarity with Combat Management System operations and C2 networks.
• Ability to interpret Defence documents and how they map to life-cycle stages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assessments, design reviews, trade studies, and interface artefacts for MRAD/IAMD programs.
• Provide technical analyses to align MRAD options with Defence Projects and joint programs.
• Manage scope development across sensors, networks, and C2 including communications and identification systems.
• Produce risk assessments, feasibility analyses, and stakeholder submissions.
• Develop and review operational requirements for Capability Definition Documents (CDD).
