Job summary

Downer Melbourne is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the delivery and integration of military communications systems for a major Defence capability program. You will lead the System Safety Program, requirements management, system design, integration, V&V, and certification across the lifecycle in a complex, multi-vendor environment.

Based in Melbourne, you will develop engineering plans, oversee technical deliverables, and ensure compliance with Australian standards and security

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience delivering systems engineering services including requirements development, integration, V&V, testing and certification.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, configuration management and Defence standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of the System Safety Program and certification across the capability lifecycle.
• Guide systems engineering activities across requirements, design, integration, V&V and certification.
• Develop and maintain engineering plans, certification plans and engineering metrics.
• Manage requirements set and baseline throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan and lead System Design Reviews and Detailed Design Reviews with SIP.
