Job summary

Downer is seeking a Systems Engineer in Canberra or Melbourne to contribute to the CDT's TCN Systems Engineering program. You will help acquire and transition LC4CS materiel systems through development and acquisition phases, applying Defence engineering governance and producing key documents while providing SME advice on ASDEFCON contract documentation.

Qualifications

• Accredited or recognised engineering degree.
• Experience in Defence engineering governance and standards.
• Ability to obtain Defence Technical Authority Level 4 clearance.
• Experience with verification programs (AT&E).
• Experience with TCN systems and networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineering plans, specifications, requirements, verification documents and reports for LC4CS capability delivery.
• Support acquisition activities through development and review of technical requirements and ASDEFCON artefacts.
• Apply Defence governance frameworks to ensure compliant engineering outcomes.
• Analyse requirements, evaluate options and develop capability recommendations.
• Support integration, verification, validation and certification activities to ensure capability performance and acceptance.
• Manage engineering risks, baselines and change activities to maintain integrity.
