Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Systems Specialist Software/Standards/Maintenance - AFHQ to contribute to the AIR 6002 program. You will develop FPS and artefacts for software, standards and maintenance across aircraft, simulators and LVC systems, under VCDF.

Remote work is not typical; on-site roles at Williamtown or Canberra are expected, with NV1 security clearance required. You will participate in forums, draft DID, manage stakeholder relationships, and support tender evaluations while ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Analytical thinkers able to evaluate complex problems and deliver clear analyses.
• Strong writing skills for reports, documentation and DID drafting.
• Experience presenting to committees and boards or similar groups.
• Proficiency with software engineering concepts and development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality FPS and artefacts for FLIFS software, maintenance and interfaces.
• Draft ASDEFCON Data Item Descriptions (DID).
• Represent VCDF at forums with stakeholders and delivery agents.
• Collaborate to build relationships, mitigate capability risks and resolve issues.
• Present verbal and written reports to committees and boards.
• Populate systems engineering databases and support tenders reviews.
