Job summary

Amentum is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for the AIR6500 program in Canberra. You will lead the development of a major Government submission within a Defence capability environment, coordinating across Defence and industry partners to mature all artefacts for the Second Pass submission.

Extensive experience in Defence approvals, ODCS governance, and executive briefing is required, with NV1–NV2 security clearance. This role emphasizes governance, risk, and cross-stakeholder leadership.

Qualifications

8+ years' Defence capability development, acquisition, program management or project integration experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate development of the AIR6500 Second Pass Government submission.
Establish and maintain an integrated submission schedule and critical path.
Coordinate project scope, cost, schedule, commercial and risk inputs.
Manage submission dependencies, actions, decision points and milestones.
Coordinate Defence and industry stakeholder contributions and reviews.
Facilitate working groups, stakeholder forums and governance activities.
Identify and manage issues, risks and opportunities impacting submission readiness.
Support development of business cases, approval documentation and supporting artefacts.
