KordaMentha is expanding its Defence and National Security team across Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Sydney. The team helps government and industry translate complex capability, commercial, and delivery challenges into practical, executable plans.

Joining DNS offers opportunities to lead workstreams, advise senior clients, and grow within a strong pipeline of nationally significant matters. Appointment timing aligns with expertise and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence or national security, or an aligned government-related industry.
• Consulting, advisory, delivery or specialist experience relevant to service areas.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to bring structure to ambiguity.
• Sound judgement, commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to navigating complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis and delivery, lead workstreams, and advise senior clients.
• Manage engagements or help grow the team and market presence.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and translate complex issues into clear advice and action.
• Contribute to better outcomes for clients and teams in Defence and National Security challenges.
