Job summary

Toll Group is seeking an Operations Manager for Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) to oversee governance-driven contract execution across warehousing, distribution and support functions from its Defence portfolio. Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in operations management within logistics, supply chain or Defence-related environments.
• Leadership experience within Defence operations or large scale logistics.
• Proven track record delivering operational outcomes in high-volume, multi-site settings.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution operations and performance metrics.
• Solid knowledge of compliance, WHS and quality assurance in Defence/critical logistics.
• Ability to analyse operational performance data to inform decisions.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Government & Defence contract execution from an operational delivery perspective across warehousing, distribution and support functions.
• Attend governance and command meetings in accordance with the contractual governance structure.
• Directly manage operational leadership teams across national and site levels with authority to delegate, escalate and reallocate resources.
• Review, develop and implement effective operational processes, systems and practices that drive compliance, consistency and efficiency.
• Drive adoption of best practices and improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse operations, resource planning and service delivery.
• Ensure operational readiness and responsiveness to Defence priorities, including surge activities and mission-critical deliveries.
• Act as escalation point for operational issues, working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve matters promptly and effectively.
