Job summary

Beca Sydney, NSW is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join the Defence & Infrastructure Growth team. The role involves managing defence civil projects, coordinating multidisciplinary design, mentoring staff and pursuing new opportunities with clients and partners.

You will contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes, support design management, and help shape strategy in transport, water and defence sectors within Australia.

Qualifications

• Qualified Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineering Technologist with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
• Experience in a consulting environment with civil engineering focus.
• Strong links to the Australian Defence sector.

Responsibilities

• Design management, project management and coordination of multidisciplinary defence civil projects.
• Developing workflows to move a design from feasibility to detailed design.
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members in technical areas and project execution.
• Business development from opportunity identification to securing projects with clients and partners.
• Participation in the transport leadership group to shape market strategy.
