Job summary

Lactalis Australia seeks an experienced Day Shift DC Coordinator to join our Lidcombe Distribution Centre. This role oversees daily coordination and performance of the day shift, ensuring warehouse and distribution activities run safely, efficiently and on schedule.

You will supervise order picking, truck loading, inventory control and safety compliance. Reporting to the Lidcombe DC Manager, you will lead a team of 10–20 employees, drive continuous improvement, and develop staff through training

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• Strong computer capability with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, WMS and RF systems (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence culture and manage performance.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily operational goals to meet service, safety and productivity targets.
• Conduct root-cause investigations for hazards, incidents and risk assessments.
• Communicate effectively across a diverse audience, both verbally and in writing.
• Develop and deliver training tailored to varied skill levels and roles.
• Write and maintain SOPs, safety procedures and work instructions.
• Interpret and apply legislation and monitor compliance across the shift.
• Lead, coach and develop staff to build a positive culture and high performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, safety and efficiency.
• Manage MHE and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Forklift licence preferred, but not essential.
