Job summary

Delivery Centric in Sydney is seeking a Database Engineer (PostgreSQL DBA) to lead advanced PostgreSQL administration, architecture design, and performance tuning in enterprise environments. The role expects 10+ years of database experience and 5+ years of PostgreSQL expertise, with a focus on HA/DR, security, and capacity planning.

You will contribute to automation, DevOps practices, and data modelling, supporting transactional databases, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of database administration and engineering experience.
• 5+ years of advanced PostgreSQL administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, recovery, HA/DR, and security.
• Experience with data modelling and physical database design.
• Automation experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting transactional DBs, data warehouses, and analytics.

Role: Database Engineer (PostgreSQL DBA)

Location: Sydney

Core Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of database administration and engineering experience.
• 5+ years of advanced PostgreSQL administration in enterprise environments.

• Experience automating database administration activities.
• Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
