Job summary

City of Sydney seeks a proactive informatics leader to design and govern data systems for Planning Development and Transport. You will manage governance, architecture, quality and accessibility while translating data into actionable insights for service improvements.

The role focuses on analytics, data visualisation (Power BI/Power Platform) and building a data-driven culture. It includes collaboration across functions and delivery of strategic data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification at degree level incorporating data science, data management, data analytics and/or information management.
• Significant experience across data management, business intelligence and analytics, informatics.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with understanding of statistical methods for large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the data lifecycle including governance, architecture, quality, accessibility and use across the division.
• Lead data analytics, data strategy and data visualisation initiatives to support decision making.
• Drive a data-driven culture and innovation within Planning Development and Transport.
