Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking a Data Support Engineer to lead data management, modelling and warehousing efforts. You will document data assets, reporting requirements and business processes to support analytics across the organisation.

You will design data models, oversee ETL processes, and contribute to data quality initiatives while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to enable reliable reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in gathering requirements from stakeholders.
• Proven expertise in data modelling, warehousing, and SQL.
• Experience documenting data sources, lineage, and reporting requirements.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and drive improvements.
• Experience with reporting, dashboards, and data transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to Snowflake, Informatica, SSIS, Oracle, ServiceNow, and ITSM desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Discover, analyse, and document enterprise data assets and reporting requirements.
• Design and maintain data models, data marts, and ETL documentation.
• Support data warehousing, data transformation, and reporting initiatives.
• Identify data sources, structures, and relationships; document lineage and requirements.
• Address data quality issues and propose remediation strategies.
