What you’ll do

Designing and fine‑tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) using SFT PEFT / LoRA / QLoRA distillation and implementing RLHF / DPO / RLAIF with defined reward models and feedback pipelines.

Building evaluation frameworks for task quality, grounding, robustness and safety (toxicity, bias, privacy), including offline and online A/B testing with guardrail metrics.

Retrieval‑augmented workflows, agentic patterns, policy‑driven tool use, safe function calling, memory/state management and resilient fallbacks under guardrails.

Demonstrate strong consulting skills with a focus on responsible AI practices, threat modelling, privacy and ethics compliance in the Australian context and effective client collaboration for Proof of Concept (PoC) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) delivery.

What we’re looking for

Strong deep‑learning and natural language processing (NLP) skills with PyTorch (or JAX), Transformers, PEFT / LoRA / QLoRA and fundamentals in probability, statistics and experimental design.

Experienced in building and maintaining evaluation suites for quality, robustness, bias/toxicity and jailbreak resistance with offline and online testing.

Proficient in Python programming.

Optional expertise in retrieval (hybrid search, rerankers), knowledge graphs, policy‑driven agentic workflows and privacy‑preserving machine learning (ML) techniques.
