Job summary

Endeavour Group seeks a Data Scientist to drive Retail Media model development and experimentation. You will work with Python, SQL and modern cloud platforms to build, test and deploy predictive models for cross-functional stakeholders.

The role embraces a hybrid working model across Melbourne or Sydney, with opportunities to collaborate with product, engineering, analytics and business teams to accelerate data capabilities and deliver measurable insights.

Qualifications

• Core technical stack includes Python and SQL.
• Experience developing and deploying ML models end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data processing (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with modern AI productivity tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
• Strong communication and teamwork, in remote or hybrid setups.

As a Data Scientist within our Data Science Chapter, you will play a pivotal role in driving impactful Retail Media model developments and advanced experimentation across agile squads. You will delve deep into complex datasets, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies and cloud platforms to design, build, and deploy end-to-end predictive machine learning models. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Model Optimisation: Craft and execute data-driven solutions to optimise Retail Media models and experimental frameworks.
• End-to-End ML: Design, build, test, implement, maintain, and optimise predictive machine learning models end-to-end.
• Hypothesis Testing: Conduct rigorous hypothesis testing and statistical experiments from initial scoping through to tracking and optimisation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams to enhance broader data capabilities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate findings and complex technical insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you:

• Core Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, alongside a solid grounding in statistics and experimentation design.
• ML Model Development: Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models end-to-end within a modern tech stack.
• Cloud Data Processing: Hands‑on experience processing large‑scale data across cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Modern AI Tools: Proficiency in utilising modern AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) with a passion for exploring AI innovations.
• Teamwork & Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating effectively in remote or hybrid setups.
• Proactive Mindset: Self‑motivated and proactive approach with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvements.

Highly regarded (but not essential):

• Retail Media Expertise: Proven experience in building and optimising predictive models in the Retail Media domain.
• Agentic AI Frameworks: Capability in designing and implementing Agentic AI solutions utilising frameworks such as ADK, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
