The University of Newcastle invites applications for a Lecturer in Data Science and Statistics based at the Callaghan Campus. You will contribute to high-quality teaching and develop an emerging research profile, delivering innovative instruction across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

You will build an independent research program, collaborate across disciplines, supervise research students, and contribute to the School’s priorities in AI, cybersecurity and advanced computing.

Qualificações

• PhD in Data Science or Statistics or Mathematics or equivalent.
• Strong publication record relative to opportunity.
• Ability to teach Statistics, Data Science and related courses at university level.
• Experience supervising research students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Ability to attract industry/government funding through research.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
