Job summary

Vela APX is seeking a reporting analyst to deliver high-quality reporting across financial, operational and forecast domains. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with plenty of variety.

You'll prepare monthly and quarterly reports with insights, support ad hoc analysis for executive decisions, and partner with leaders to drive data-driven decisions while leveraging core systems such as BPC, Autotask, and QSR.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, business, or related field; data analytics qualification is a bonus.
• 2+ years in a similar reporting/analytical role in a commercial environment.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify trends and insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel and financial systems.

Responsibilities

This role will support the delivery of high-quality reporting and analysis across our portfolio of businesses, spanning financial, operational and forecast reporting, as well as ad hoc analysis This is a dynamic, fast-paced role with plenty of variety.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reports with insights and analysis
• Support ad hoc data requests and executive-level analysis for strategic decision making
• Partner with business unit leaders to drive a culture of data-driven decision making
• Act as a subject matter expert for core systems like BPC, Autotask, and QSR
• Assist in the integration of new acquisitions into our core reporting systems
• Provide hands-on support to the Group Director on various administrative and operational tasks

What You'll Bring

• A degree in accounting, business, or a related field (data analytics qualifications are a bonus!)
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial environment
• Strong grasp of core accounting principles and financial reporting
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying trends
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• High level of computer literacy, including MS Excel and financial systems
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach
