Job summary

Emesent, a Brisbane-based leader in autonomous LiDAR mapping, seeks an Engineering Manager for Data Processing. You will lead the SLAM and processing teams across delivery, quality, and reliability, shaping architecture and long-term technical direction.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, and cloud-enabled platforms to turn research into production-grade software. You bring a track record of managing senior engineers in algorithm-heavy domains and a strong software architecture background,

Qualifications

• Experience managing senior, specialist engineers in algorithm-heavy domains such as robotics, geospatial, computer vision or perception.
• Proven track record of taking research or prototype work to production software.
• Strong software architecture experience: clean interfaces and reliable systems.
• Ideal cloud architecture experience for SaaS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Processing engineering group end to end: delivery, quality, support and people.
• Own outcomes and drive technical direction in collaboration with Product and Principal Architects.
• Set delivery commitments and manage group planning, risk, and reliability.
• Develop and coach team members, fostering a high-ownership culture.
