Data Privacy - Transactional Attorney in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
  • Work collaboratively within the Privacy & Information Law team alongside two partners and a group of information law specialists.
  • Advise and support both government (Commonwealth, State, and Territory) and private sector clients on compliance with applicable privacy and secrecy laws.
  • Engage in the collection and handling of personal information, conduct Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTA), and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
  • Handle complaints, manage Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) investigations, and address data breaches.
  • Act on behalf of key government and private sector clients in complex and highly sensitive matters.
  • Mentor junior lawyers to help foster the development of the team’s future capabilities.

Education and Experience Information:
