Job summary

Followmont Transport is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and support enterprise data platforms and pipelines. You will connect operational systems with cloud data environments, delivering secure and accurate solutions within an agile team.

You will work across data engineering, analytics platforms and system integrations, focusing on scalable data pipelines, data modelling and governance to enable strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering across analytics platforms.
• Advanced SQL across large datasets.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of data warehouses and modelling.
• Experience with APIs, REST and JSON.
• Power BI experience including modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations.
• Develop and support API based integrations using REST and JSON.
• Deliver data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake.
• Design and implement data warehouse models and architecture patterns.
• Lead data ingestion, transformation and modelling across sources.
• Optimise pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Implement data quality controls and governance practices.
• Contribute to automation leveraging data platforms and Power Platform.
• Support Power BI datasets and reporting performance.
• Write and optimise advanced SQL across large datasets.
• Act as escalation point for data/platform issues.
• Maintain documentation of data pipelines and dependencies.
